At The Knit Studio, our knitwear is designed and knitted in our studio on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. From selecting the finest Italian-spun Merino Wool to the meticulous care that goes into every piece, quality has always been at the heart of what we do.
Classic favourites & new designs
Our knitwear range has evolved since we began in 2008. However, our original designs remain our best-selling styles, alongside new designs that bring something fresh to the collection.
From jumpers and cardigans to vests and accessories, every piece is designed by us and knitted to order. A wide choice of colours across all of our styles means you can choose the shade that works for you, rather than being limited to seasonal colours.
Merino or cotton?
Some of our styles are available in both 100% Extra Fine Merino Wool and 100% Australian Cotton, giving you two quite different options in a style you love.
Merino is soft, warm and lightweight, making it a lovely choice for cooler weather without the heaviness of a bulky knit. Our Merino knitwear is dry clean only.
Cotton creates a lighter knit, ideal for warmer weather and trans-seasonal wear. It's also easy to care for and can be machine washed and tumble dried on low.
You'll also find 100% cashmere items in selected accessories, chosen for its softness and luxurious feel.
Knitted to order
Every piece in our collection is knitted to order rather than mass produced. Each garment is individually knitted and hand finished in our Mornington Peninsula studio before being packed and sent to you.
Our collection may have grown since it first began but our approach remains the same - quality yarns, considered design and Australian made knitwear, made right here by us.
